Understanding Your Care Options

Getting expert cognitive care doesn’t have to mean coordinating complicated trips to the doctor. With Sunday Health’s telemedicine visits, care can happen from wherever feels most comfortable, without driving, waiting rooms, or added stress.

Telemedicine First Practice

Most families choose to be seen from the comfort of home through a telemedicine visit for added convenience. Learn more below, with in-person appointments available at our Vienna, Virginia office if that feels like a better fit.

How Telemedicine Works

Here's everything you need to be ready for a Sunday Health video appointment.

Computer or tablet

You will need a computer, laptop, or tablet with a camera to access your telehealth visit. Please note that phones are not supported.

A quiet, comfortable space

Because your first appointment can take up to 90 minutes, it's important to pick a comfortable, quiet spot at home.

No need to download any applications

Your personal visit link (emailed to you ahead of your appointment) opens in your default browser (e.g., Google Chrome). No installation or downloads needed.

Stable internet connection

Your computer or tablet needs access to reliable Wi-Fi to ensure your video call is uninterrupted.

What to Expect at Your First Appointment

Whether you choose telemedicine or in-person, here's what your first appointment will look like.

Duration

Because your Sunday Health appointments are unhurried, please allot up to 90 minutes for your first appointment.

Who should be at the appointment

The patient is the focus, but loved ones are welcome and encouraged to join. Family members often provide valuable context that helps your clinician get the full picture.

What happens

Your clinician will review a detailed history — medical background, family history, current medications, and the changes you've been noticing. They'll also guide you through cognitive assessments, which may include questions, memory exercises, and brief tests.

After the appointment

Your clinician will determine next steps based on your visit, which may include additional testing such as lab work or imaging. Our care team will coordinate any necessary referrals or orders, helping you access these services close to home in preparation for your next appointment.
